The news that has dominated the last weeks is the flood in Australia and this is also the most important news this week.

NEWS SKY: Queensland premier Anna Bligh said people living in the state capital Brisbane awoke to the "unbearable agony" of having large areas of their city completely destroyed. Three-quarters of Queensland hit by flooding, whole towns are expected to emerge unrecognisable in the coming days. The Brisbane River peak of 4.46m (14.5ft) more than 26,000 homes were fully or partially swamped. Stories of amazing bravery are now emerging.
